A Liberal MP has called for a jailed Melbourne academic to be freed from an Iranian prison. Kylie Moore-Gilbert has been detained in Iran since September 2018, and was later convicted of espionage. Former diplomat Dave Sharma told parliament Dr Moore-Gilbert was secretly tried in Iran. Read more.
